Samia is 15 years old and lives on the outskirts of Marseille. She is the 6th of 8 siblings of a very traditional family of Algerian roots, and is suffering under the pressure regarding moral beliefs and prohibitions, beliefs and prohibitions she respects but doesn´t follow.
Yacine, the oldest brother, is unemployed and  will only succeed if he converts himself to guardian of the family and it´s religious traditions. The eldest Sister, Amel, excludes herself from the family and has a relationship with a man from a different culture. The other Sisters put all their hopes in succeeding academically. Samia on the other hand always fails academically and she can´t accept that they have assigned her to a special school. She lives in hiding from her first love and is adamant that it is absolutely necessary that nobody decides anything for her.

During the Algerian war, deputy Roque finds himself in a village East of Algeria. Fed up with conflict he still carries out his duties between the local inhabitants subjected to repression and torture and the soldiers whose morals have to be alimented without question. The development of relations with Taïeb, a young soldier of North African origen, morally hurt, irritates the absurd contradictions of the war without a name.

We´re situated just outside Paris inan area called Sarcelles known as « Little Jerusalem”, Where a large number of Jews emigrated.  Laura is 18 years old. She finds herself between her religious education and her philosophy studies to which she is passionate about because it offers her another view to the world. Whilst her Sister Matilda is trying to rekindle her relationship, Laura succumbs to her first emotions of love. This confrontation with it´s desire will disturb her certainties.
